LEOPARD MAN FROM AFRICA. : Visitors to the Carterton Show will have the unusual opportunity of seeing for the first time in New Zealand TarmTam, a Leopard Man, from darkest Africa, a member of the most feared and dreaded of all tribes, the deadly Leopard men, who stalk and kill their human prey, leaving'the impression of the leopard’s claw on the victim’s throat. Stranger still, their bodies are spotted exactly like a leopard, hence their name. Tam-Tam is a true representative of this strange tribe. Tam-Tam was captured in equatorial Africa by Captain Pedro Gonsalez, a noted Portugese explorer and big game hunter, and brought to New Zealand by C. J. Delaney, an enterprising showman, during his recent trip overseas in search of attractions. Tam-Tam has become quite tractable and can be viewed in perfect safety, as he is shown in a specially constructed pit.
