BILLIARD CHAMPIONSHIP

Y.M.C.A. TOURNAMENT. The billiard ' championship tournament run in connection with the Y.M.C.A. Billiards Cup competition was concluded this week. There were ten entries for the championship, the games being for 250 up. Mr Graham Coleman came through without a loss, and is, therefore, the holder of the Kinvale Cup for the next year., Mr A. McWhinnie Was runner-up. This event brought to a conclusion the regular organised activity for this season at the Y.M.C.A., but it is intended to hold a social night on Thursday next commencing at 7 o’clock, when a knock-out billiard competition will take place, after which supper will be provided. This will afford an opportunity for the presentation of the cup to the team winning this year’s competition, the Catholic Club team, and also the presentation of the Kinvale Cup to Mr Coleman. Those who played in this season’s competition are invited to the function for which there will be no charge.
