PERSONAL ITEMS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr Anders Olsen has accepted a position with a Wellington radio firm and will leave Eketahuna on Monday next. Mrs J. H. Hudson (Newman) was called south owing to the illness of her brother, the Hon T. D. Fleming, M.L.C., who later died in a Balclutha Hospital. Lambing Season. The lambing season generally has turned out successfully. Docking operations on many farms have given returns ranging from 70 per cent to 85 per cent. Ewe Mortality. It is stated that the mortality among breeding ewes this season was not as great as usual, due in a large measure to the fact that the ewes came through the winter well. Rongokokako Tennis Club. The Rongokokako Tennis Club will officially open the season on Wednesday next, when it is expected that there will be a large attendance of members of other clubs. A dance will be held in the evening.
