+ N.Z. LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. RATTRAY CUP CONTEST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, October 19. At the New Zealand women’s championship meeting this afternoon, the second bogey handicap, with the second round for the Rattray Cup played in conjunction, was decided in the afternoon. The best score in the A division was that of Mrs W. Toomey (Christchurch), 3 down. The B grade was won by Mrs B. H. Chapman (New Plymouth), 2 up. The Rattray Cup, for the competitor returning the best aggregate in two bogey matches, was won by Miss B. Cochran (Marton). Leading scores were: Miss Cochran, first round 1 up, second round 2 down, aggregate 1 down; Miss H. Buchanan (Christchurch), 1 down, 1 down, 2 down; Mrs Glanville (Te Awamutu), 2 down, all square, 2 down; Miss J. Meuli (Hawera), 3 down, 1 up, 2 down; Mrs J. Cliff (New Plymouth), all square, 3 down, 3 down; Miss A. Pritchard (Dannevirke), 4 down, 1 up, 3 down; Mrs W. Toomey (Christchurch), 4 down, 1 up, 3 down. MAHUNGA CLUB. A Bogey Competition will be played j by members on Saturday. Owing to the commencement of other kindred sports 'no official draw is made and players are therefore advised to arrange for their own partners. MASTERTON CLUB LADIES’ COMPETITION The competition for the Bogey Rose Bowl will be played on Tuesday next.
