“THE WAR CRY”
SPECIAL • CHRISTMAS NUMBER Short stories, poems and articles of high merit are-contained in the Christmas number of the Salvation Army publication, “The War Cry.” Included in the issue are inspiring messages from General Evangeline Booth and Commissioner Adams, and Lieut-Col-onel Geo Grattan. Another interesting feature outlines the objects and work of - the Salvation Army. Most of the stories have a Christmas flavour, and they are all effectively illustrated. In addition there are several fine New Zealand photographs, including a beautifully coloured reproduction of a Maori maiden weaving a basket. Issued as a supplement to the journal is a fine calendar for 1938. This contains five attractive colour plates, together with a host of postal and business information.
