DRUIDS’ LODGE

! FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was hold in the Foresters’ Hall last night, the A.D. (Bro A. E. Levick) presiding. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Bro J. Candy was passed, the members standing in silence for a few moments. The secretary reported that eight members had declared on the sick benefit of the lodge and five had declared off. A report on a recent meeting of the United Friendly Societies Dispensary Board was received by the lodge. A clearance on behalf of a member to Totara Lodge was granted. Dr P. R. Cook advised the lodge that he was having three months leave of absence and that Dr Berney was acting as locum tenens. Bro G. Milne reported on a recent meeting of the Hospital Association. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £136 Us were passed for payment.
