JACK DOYLE IN AMERICA. ARRESTED FOR PASSPORT IRREGULARITY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LOS ANGELES, October 16. Stepping from a trans-continental plane today, the boxer, Jack Doyle, was hurried to jail on a charge of illegally entering the United States by falsifying information when applying for a visa. By knocking himself out in London Doyle earned for himself the American title “Glass-jawed Jack” and “The Mild Iron Rose.” He found on his arrival in New York that Mrs Delphine Dodge Godde, the motor heiress, had repudiated their romance and was referring to him as that Doyle person.” Doyle caused a sensation when a bubble dancer hit him on the nose. He announced that he was flying to Hollywood to meet an ale heiress who is going to Reno to seek a divorce.
