BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY

APPEAL FOR PUBLIC SUPPORT. THIS EVENING'S MEETING. It is expected that the appeal made by the Masterton Beautifying Society for a more substantial measure of public support will result in a large attendance at the meeting to be held in the Municipal Building tonight at 7.30 o’clock. It will be remembered that the annual meeting, which was called for a fortnight ago. was postponed on account of the poor attendance, with a view to holding a further meeting to ascertain whether public support was forthcoming. The president. Dr. Archer Hosking. has expressed his confidence that the public will give its support, as it has in the past. It is hoped to strengthen the committee by the inclusion of young and enthusiastic members.
