Colliery proprietors have still given no indication as to> when they are prepared to reopen the coalmines, but it is expected that some announcement will be made after their further conference with Mr Mair, Minister of Labour, tomorrow. The proprietors are extremely agitated over some of the “truculent” statements made by the miners’ officials to the aggregate meetings.
