GOLD MINING RETURNS ’ The following gold dredging returns are reported:— Worksop Extended: 60oz from 9500 cubic yards in 128 hours. White’s Electric: 460 z from 7100 cubic yards in 126 hours. New River: 530 z from 6000 cubic yards in 110 hours. The Murchison Mataki Junction return for the week ended October was 105 oz of smelted gold for 129 hours worked and 19,000 yards dredged. Work on the Sandhills Gold Mining Company’s claim (Otago) was resumed on September 20 after being suspended for the winter months. The wash-up of No. 7 paddock took place on Monday and produced soz 15dwt.
