Miss Fryer, Hawke’s Bay, is the guest of Mrs lan Bunny, Marapua, Bideford. Mrs T. Cocker, of Porirua, is staying with Mrs J. Cocker, Albert Street, Masterton. Mrs D. E. Parton, Christchurch, is staying with Miss Daniell, Albert Street, Masterton. Miss Gordon, who has been in New Plymouth for the past two months, has returned to Gladstone. Mr and Mrs Everard White and family, Manaia, will leave early next week to spend a holiday at Paraparaumu Beach. Mr and Mrs Dilnot Wales, Kirton Street, Masterton, who have been visiting Paraparaumu have .returned to Masterton. A kitchen tea was given in the Anzac Hall, Featherston, on Thursday night for Miss Evelyn Habib whose marriage to Mr Victor Gore will take place shortly. A pleasant time was spent in dancing, competitions and games. Misses Margaret and Mona Gore gave vocal items the accompaniments being played by their brother, Mr D. Gore. Miss Grace Fraser supplied the music for the dances, Mr R. Barnard playing an extra on the piano-accordion. Miss Agnes Wakem (Wellington) gave a tap dance. Miss Habib was the winner of the competition. After supper Miss Habib and Mr Gore opened the many parcels. The evening closed with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
