DAIRY CATTLE SELL WELL. PIGS IN DEMAND. The New Zealand Loan-and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale yesterday as follows:— A fair yarding of dairy stock and pigs was submitted to a moderate attendance including buyers from outside districts. Dairy stock sold well, late rates being well maintained whilst bulls of all classes met with a ready sale. Pigs, of which the majority of the entry were weaners were easily saleable at best prices. We quote:— Cattle: Springing heifers, medium quality, £8 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d; late calvers, do., £7 10s, £6 15s, £6 10s to £6 ss; springing cows, guaranteed medium sorts, £7 ss; yearling Jersey steers, £2 ss; small 2-yr. S.H. x bulls, £5 ss; yearling Jersey bulls, small, £3 ss; 2-yr. S.H. bull. £6 17s 6d. Pigs: Slips, good, 30s; weaners, best. 235, 21s, 20s; small, 16s Gd.
