It is stated that the value of the personal contact the British Prime Minister had with HenHitler and M. Daladier was inestimable. The British Consul’s offices in Berlin are besieged with callers signing the visitors’ books with expressions of gratitude. Hundreds of pounds have subscribed to a thanks-offering fund for distressed British subjects in Germany.
