U.S.A. DEFENCE
NEEDS ARISING FROM WORLD SITUATION CONSIDERATION OF BUDGET POSTPONED. PRESIDENT EXAMINING POSITION. (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) WASHINGTON, October 14. President Roosevelt stated that national defence needs, arising from new world conditions, compelled him to delay discussion on next year’s Budget. He is undertaking, aided by numerous experts, to complete an examination of the defence situation.
