Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows Ifor the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today: — {Barograph, 30.2. Shade temperature: (Maximum 70.4, minimum 34.0. terresI trial 24.7. Sunshine, 12 hours 3 min. Frost, 5.7 degrees. General situation: Pressure remains ’.high to the north but a series of shallow depressions is passing in the south and another is located over the West--ern Tasman Sea; over eastern Australia there has been a rise of pressure. Forecast: One or two strong northwesterly winds rising to gale force at times in exposed positions .and turning during tomorrow to south-westerly; weather fair at first but cloud increasing in and west of the ranges and scattered but mainly light rains developing; temperatures mild. One of our famous novelists declares that he has never seen any of the film versions of his books. Blow on earth does lie know?
