WOMEN’S DIVISION
MEETING AT RANGITUMAU. The usual meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was presided over by Mrs Duckett. There was a good attendance. The competition results were as follow: — Three blooms, Miss I. Harvey, 1; Mrs Duckett, 2. Single bloom, Mrs Seward, 1; Mrs C. MacDonald, 2. Vase of flowers for effect, Mrs C. MacDonald, 1; Miss Kemble, 2. Scones, Mrs C. MacDonald, 1; Miss Jean McLachlan, 2. Mrs Tankersley acted as judge. Each member contributed a coin towards the adoption of a Chinese orphan baby. Mrs Smith and Mrs Chorley were the tea hostesses. .
