AN ASYLUM - ?WNIONS . .-.acdonald passes ■.?'ON REQUEST. RNING AGAINST FALSE 'J HOPES. ; Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, October 12. The Associated Press says Mr Malcolm MacDonald, Acting-Secretary for the Dominions, has passed on to the High Commissioners for New Zealand, Australia and Canada an urgent tequest from Sudeten democrats for an asylum for refugees from the new Nazi regime. It is understood that the request was sent on without comment, the Sudetens being strongly advised not to build false hopes and told that the Dominions Office was merely acting as a post office, but the fact that the request was passed on indicates the significance to the Dominions of Britain’s revolutionised outlook. Britain is no longer greatly concerned over outlets for excess population and is increasingly concerned over the indications of her own declining population.
