FORESTERS’ LODGE
COURT LOYAL ENTERPRISE. The fortnightly meeting of Court Loyal Enterprise, Ancient Order of Foresters, was held last evening. The Chief Ranger, Bro T. N. N. Coley, presided over a fair attendance. Bro R. Walker reported favourably on sick brethren. A letter was received from the Medical Officer, Dr P. R. Cook, advising that owing to being indisposed he had arranged with Dr Berney to attend to his lodge patients. A motion of sympathy was passed with Dr Cook wishing him a speedy recovery. The secretary presented the quarterly balance sheet which was adopted on the motion of Bro C. A. Leigh, S.O.R. Bro Secretary was thanked for his work in obtaining comparative figures in connection with lodge funds. Bro Leigh reported on the Saturday night card tournaments. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £66 3s Id, were passed. At the conclusion of business members were called upon to sing, read or recite, those failing to respond being fined threepence. Two preferred to pay the fine. At the" next meeting each member will be called upon to make an impromptu speech.
