PARLEY AT WARSAW
POLISH AND HUNGARIAN AIMS PART OF SLOVAKIA WANTED AS CONDITION OF FRONTIER GUARANTEE (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) WARSAW, October 6. The Foreign Minister (Colonel Beck) had a long conference with Count Csaky, of the Hungarian Foreign Office. It is understood that as a result Poland will support Hungary’s claim to Ruthenia, which would give Poland and Hungary a common frontier. It was also agreed that Poland and Hungary should respect the Slovak’s desires regarding the future, subject to the restoration to Hungary of the southedn strip of Slovakia in which there is a Hungarian minority numbera million people. Poland and Hungary would then be willing to guarantee the new Czech frontier.
