BOMBING IN SPAIN

The British United Press correspondent in Barcelona says that indiscriminate rebel bombing of numerous towns has increased since the Munich agreement was reached, apparently in an attempt to terrorise Catalonia. Barcelona has been bombed nine times since October 4. Ten Savoia planes dropped hundreds of bombs on Valencia. There were no casualties. FOOD FOR LOYALISTS. BRITISH GOVERNMENT URGED TO ACT. LONDON, October 6. A deputation of Labour members of the House of Commons visited Lord Plymouth today and urged that the Government send convoy foodships to Spain owing to the renewed bombings and the serious food situation among republican non-combatants. It also emphasised the anxiety at the possibility of a settlement with Signor Mussolini at the expense of the Republicans.
