THE LATE MR A. F. STUBBS

FUNERAL AT CARTERTON YESTERDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The funeral of the late Mr A. F. Stubbs took place at Carterton yesterday and was one of the largest seen in the district for some considerable time. A very impressive service was conducted at the house by the Rev. W. F. Stent, who also took the service at the graveside at the Clareville Cemetery. There was a large number of Freemasons present as well as returned soldiers, while representatives of various institutions throughout the Wairarapa were in attendance to pay their last tribute of respect to a citizen who was held in such high esteem. Mr W. J. Candy. W.M. of the St. Mark’s Masonic Lodge, Carterton. conducted the Masonic ceremony at the cemetery.
