SLOVAK FREE CORPS
ON THE SUDETEN MODEL ENCOURAGED BY NAZIS. PROPOSED INDEPENDENT STATE. LONDON, October 5. The correspondent of the “The Times’’ at Vienna says that it is becoming increasingly apparent that Germany is encouraging the formation of a Slovak Free Corps in Austria, similar to Herr Henlein’s Sudeten German Free Corps, the leaders of which declare that the Slovaks must be granted* a plebiscite on the question of whether they remain with the Czechs on a basis of equality or create an independent State. The leaders favour an independent State with close economic co-operation with Germany.
