SENT TO TRIAL
ALLEGED NEGLIGENT DRIVING. CHARGE AGAINST CANON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. On a charge of having negligently driven a motor-vehicle and thereby causing the death of Stanley Hvid, Canon Douglas Blomfield Malcolm, aged 46, organising secretary of the Wellington Diocesan Centenary Appeal, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial when he appeared in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. Mr J. L. Stout. S.M., was on the bench.
