SHEEPSKINS SALE
PRICES AT DUNEDIN (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, October 5. Catalogues of sheepskins offered at today’s sale totalled about 15,000 skins. Competition was brisk on all soundpelted lines and good faculty pelts, although price limits were strictly adhered to. Short-woolled, dead and seedy sorts were not so well sought for, lack of competition from Central Europe for these grades being noticeable. Prices were on a par with those of the last sale held in Dunedin, with the exception of short-woolled faulty grades and seedy sorts, which were about Id to Id cheaper. -Following is the official price range:— Halfbred, full-wool, to B£d nalf-bred, threequarter-wool, to B|d,; half-bred half-wool, to 7|d; half bred, quarterwool, to 5Jd. Fine crossbred, full-wool, to 8d; fine crossbred, threequarter-wool, to 73d fine crossbred, quarter-wool, to 4Jd. Crossbred, full-wool, to 73d crossbred, threequarter-wool, to 73d; crossbred, half-wool, to 7d; crossbred, quar-ter-wool, to 43d. Halfbred, hoggets, to 73d crossbred hoggets, to 7|d. Halfbred lambs, to 6jd; crossbred lambs, to 6|d; merinos, to 81 d. First pelts, to 3d second pelts, to 2Jd.
