MARTINBOROUGH
HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A fire at 2.40 o’clock yesterday morning resulted in the total destruction of a house owned by Mr J. D. McDougall. A neighbour, Mrs Willis, discovered the fire and gave the alarm. The brigade was quickly on the scene but as the flames had a firm hold they could do nothing except save an adjoining shed. Radio Club. A number of the local Radio Club members spent the weekend in Wellington where they were entertained by the Miramar Radio Club.
