MAURICEVILLE

FORESTERS’ LODGE MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The quarterly meeting of Court Kopuaranga was held in the lodge room, Mauriceville West, Bro K. L. Palmer presiding over a good attendance. Bro H. C. Mortensen reported on the meeting of the Hospital Council. Bro I. Larsen reported that the lodge had lost the ritual shield at Eketahuna to Court Makakahi. Several small accounts were passed for payment. The following officers were nominated for office for the ensuing term:— C.R., Bro S. Seymour; S.C.R., P. Fauvel; S.W., H. Neilsen; J.W., A. Larsen; 5.8., J. Osborne; J. 8., D. Christiansen; Secretary, R. Payne; Treasurer, H. C. Mortensen. The meeting concluded with a social half hour.

Tennis Club. The Mauriceville Tennis Club will hold its annual meeting in the Hall at 7.30 p.m. on October 6. Table Tennis. The following players will represent Mauriceville in the last match of the B, C, D, and E grades competition against Kopuaranga at Mauriceville tonight:—Q. McGovern, D. McKenzie. H. Milner, R. Kenny, G. Smith, B. Kerr. D. Duffy, P. Condon, W. Cheetham, K. Tildesley, A. Wilkin, Misses J. and A. McGovern, M. Kenny, E. Wilkin, M. Tildeslay, E. Duffy, Z. McKeown, D. Kenny, Mesdames H. Freeman, J. McKeown and S. Jermy. The Club Championships will be played on Wednesday, October 5.
