OBITUARY
MRS S. E. J. NICOL The death occurred yesterday of Mrs Sarah Eliza Jane Nicol, widow of the late Mr Robert Nicol, at the age of 72 years. The late Mrs Nicol was born in the Mt Bruce district, a daughter of the late Mr* Hugh Campbell, who had a large holding on the Upper Plain in the early days. She was married in Masterton 46 years ago to Mr Robert Nicol, of Rongomai, Eketahuna. For a period of fifteen years she was a resident at Porirua. The late Mrs Nicol is survived by three daughters and two sons, Mesdames M. G. Tonkin, Melrose, Wellington, E. Westwood, Kilbirnie, Wellington and Miss I. O. Nicol. Masterton; and Messrs H. Nicol, Greytown, and R. Nicol, Auckland. Her husband predeceased her 28 years ago. Messrs M. A. Ray, Carterton and M. Dakin, Mount Bruce, are sisters, and Mr J. Campbell, Mt Bruce, is a brother.
The funeral will leave the late residence, 102 Lincoln Road, Masterton, tomorrow, after a service commencing at 10.45 a.m., for the Karori Crematorium.
