Mrs A. S. Madsen, of Pahiatua, is on a visit to Taranaki. Mrs J. Gregory, of Mangahao, is visiting Wellington. Miss J. Sellar, Lansdowne, is on a short visit to Wellington. Mrs D. B. Cameron, Glendhu, Hinakura, is visiting Hawke’s Bay. Miss Shelton, Cole Street, Masterton, is spending the week-end in Wellington. Mrs R. A. Bunny, “Maringi,” Masterton, left today to spend a week in Hawke’s Bay. Mrs J. J. Kennedy, Opaki Road, has been staying with her daughter, Mrs Akers-Jones, Lower Hutt. Mrs and Miss McSherry, of Pahiatua, have returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mrs H. B. Maunsell, Masterton, and Miss M. Maunsell are spending a holiday at Wellington. Mr and Mrs Ralph Thomson are weekend visitors to Masterton and are staying with Mrs Mackenzie Douglas. Miss T. Hardy-Gibson, who is visiting Masterton for the Wall-Moodie wedding, is the guest of Mrs Eric Foreman, Gladstone. Mr and Mrs L. Connelly of Pownall Street, Masterton, who have been on an extensive tour of the South Island, have returned home. Mrs and Miss Wilden, who have lived in Masterton for a number of years, left on Thursday for Invercargill where they will reside in future. Miss Valerie Rishworth, Pownall Street, Masterton, who has been staying in New Plymouth, has returned to Masterton. An enjoyable bridge evening was held recently in the new Nurses’ Home at the Masterton Public Hospital, when the sisters at the hospital entertained Miss K. I. Barnitt, who has resigned from the position of Matron. The room was delightfully decorated with spring bulbs.
