FEATHERSTON
EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the Featherston Croquet Club’s weekly euchre tournament held •at the home of Mrs Saunders (president). The prizes were won by Mrs A. W. Edwards, Mrs Thompson and Mrs J. Blain. The prizes were donated by Mesdames Fairbrother and Jeffrey. Personal. Mrs H. R. Bloxam has returned from a visit to Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs Le Grove. Donation Acknowledged. The secretary of the Fire Brigade wishes to acknowledge with thanks a donation of £1 Is from Mr Jas. Saba. Boxing and Wrestling. ' A boxing and wrestling tournament is to be held in the Town Hall, when members of the Featherston Club will meet Hutt and Wellington competitors. . Land for Road. A proclamation is issued in this week’s “Gazette” taking ten small areas of land in the town of Featherston for road purposes.
