DRAMA LEAGUE
FESTIVAL NEXT WEEK. Judging by the booking the annual Drama League festival which is to be held in the Opera House on Tuesday and Wednesday next is going to receive the usual splendid support from the Masterton public. The junior and three senior plays will be presented each night and comments and advice will be given by the Adjudicator, Miss Elizabeth Loe, of Wellington. The winning team will compete in the North Island elimination festival to be held later this month. Mr A. Crookenden and Miss O. Sutherland will act as stage-managers for the local festival, and' Mr V. Joseph is in charge of the front of the house. The Wairarapa festival always runs smoothly with surprisingly short intervals for arranging the stage. With outstanding plays being presented patrons are assured of splendid entertainment. Popular prices are being charged and seats may be reserved free at Mr Vivian Joseph’s, Queen Street. Patrons are particularly requested to note that in fairness to the teams late-comers cannot be admitted while a play is in progress.
