THREAT BY POLAND
FAR=REACHING MEASURES UNLESS CZECHS SURRENDER TERRITORY DECLARATION AT WARSAW (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) WARSAW, September 30. The Foreign Office .has issued the following statement:—“Poland is determined to settle her conflict witn Czechoslovakia independently. The Czech answer to the Polish Note will be handed over at Warsaw tonight, and should the answer not agree to the immediate cession of the disputed territory, Poland, in the course of the evening, will resort to measures which may have most far-reaching consequences. The responsibility will be Prague’s.” FRONTIER TENSION POSSIBLITY THAT TESCHEN MAY BE OCCUPIED. (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, September 30. The Warsaw correspondent of the British United Press says the tension along the frontier has increased, and it is possible, should the Czech answer to Poland’s note be unsatisfactory, that Poland will occupy the Teschen area.
