BOXING SENSATION

JOHNSON DEFEATS CALTAUX (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, September 28. Something of a sensation in New Zealand boxing circles was provided at Hamilton last night when Don Johnson (Auckland) gained a points decision over Vic Caltaux (Auckland), who has had such a run of success this season. Caltaux opened in his usual strong style, but Johnson was the cooler of the two, and it was not long before he was giving his opponent a boxing lesson. From the third round on he was well ahead on points. The decision was decidedly popular, cheering continuing for some time after the contestants left the ring.
