Miss J. Grant is spending several days with Mrs W. Hill, Hinakura. Miss McKenzie, Khandallah, is staying with her sister, Mrs R. L. McLaren, Roberts Road. Mrs Steve Best, of Wanganui, is on a holiday visit to Greytown as the guest of Mr and Mrs Frank Best. Mrs Twistleton, who has been the guest of Mrs C. T. R. Richardson, The Terrace, Lansdowne, has returned to Levin. Mrs W. O’Connell, Waitomo, who has been visiting Mr and Mrs W. Orange, South Road, left for Dannevirke yesterday. Over fifty members of the Country Women’s Club and their friends held an enjoyable social evening in the club rooms last night. The rooms were very attractively decorated with spring flowers. The hostesses were Mrs K. Groves and Misses M. Turley, D. Groves, J. Groves and E. Dagg. An amusing play, “Snowed Up With the Duchess,” was presented by Mrs J. Eaton and Misses M. Turley, J. Palmer and A. Bubb. Songs were contributed by Miss H. Mill and a pianoforte duet by Misses Mill and D. Groves.
