WOOL OFFERINGS
ACTIVE DEMAND IN LONDON SOME IMPROVEMENT SHOWN IN PRICES (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, September 28. At the wool sales, 9389 bales were offered, including 4380 New Zealand, and 8564 were sold. There was a good selection, chiefly crossbreds, and an active demand. Crossbreds and slipes sold well, with the latter* quoted 5 to 10 per cent higher than at the close of the last series.
