CALL TO PRAYER
INVITATION TO CITIZENS MEETING IN ST MATTHEW’S CHURCH In view of the international situation citizens of Masterton and district are invited by the Ministers’ Association to meet in prayer in St Matthew s Church. Masterton. tomorrow from noon until 2 p.m. Half-hourly prayer intervals will be conducted by loca: ministers. Citizens may come and g at any time. This Masterton period of intercession follows similar action throughout the world at the time of anxiety. Irrespective of doctrine or creed, people are offering up their prayers for peace “More things are wrought by prayer, Than this world dreams of.” SPECIAL RADIO SERVICE A special service of intercession for peace will be broadcast over all commercial radio stations in New Zealand at 9 o’clock tonight. Leaders of the Protestant, Roman Catholic and Jewish religions will take part, and appropriate hymns will be included in the service. The broadcast will last half an hour, and listeners are invited to join in the service in their homes. The Primate of New Zealand. Archbishop Averill, will take part in the service.
