AUSTRALIAN RACING GALLOPS AT RANDWICK. ATTRACTIVE .PERFORMANCES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Some attractive gallops were recorded at Randwick this morning. Royal Chief did a mile in 1.45 on the tan which was a very satisfactory trial. Stretto, also running on the tan, covered 7 furlongs in 1.32. On the course proper Young Idea ran five furlongs in 1.4, and Young Crusader did 10 furlong's in 2.12,. finishing very well. Limulet finished strongly to record 1.44 for a mile. Gold Rod could have bettered 1.32 for seven furlongs. Rival Hit, who is recovering from an injury, ran six furlongs in 1.184. Geebung surprisingly beat Publicity over six furlongs in 1.174. Spear Chief beat Denis another Epsom cafididate over 7 furlongs in 1,32. At Rosebery the Epsom favourite Nightguard pleased'by running 6 furlongs in 1.174.
