WOMEN’S DIVISION

VISIT OF DOMINION PRESIDENT. GIFT OF FLOCK HOUSE. Mrs J. C. Wickham, Dominion President of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, visited Masterton on Wednesday and met members of Wairarapa branches in the Country Women’s Club. Mrs Wickham, who was welcomed and introduced by Mrs E. H. Dagg, provincial president, dealt interestingly with the gift of Flock House to the Division to be used as a rest home. The Division had to maintain the home but with a levy of Is for each of the 22,000 members, it was felt that no difficulty would be experienced in obtaining the necessary finance. Mrs Wickham also referred to various aspects of the work of the Division. Yesterday, accompanied by Mrs C. C. Jackson, Mrs Wickham visited Tiraumea and today they will go to Martinborough.
