TENNIS SEASON
4 ST MATTHEW’S CLUB ANNUAL MEETING Several new members were elected at the annual meeting of the St Mathew’s Tennis Club, held last night. It was decided to hold the opening day on Saturday, October 1, when a Yankee tournament would be held, commencing at 2 p.m. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year. President: The Rev E. J. Rich; vice-presidents, Mesdames Latham, Stuart McLachlan, Messrs S. J. Gill, J. Ninnes, F. H. Dunderdale, hon secretary, ■Mr A. D. Crookenden; hon auditor, Mr H. A. R. Dunderdale; committee, Mrs E. J. Rich, Misses G. Hopkins, I. Stidolph, Messrs C. Carle, R. Penistone, E. Jenkins, D. Jones; club captain, Mr C. Carle; vicecaptain, Mr R. Penistone.
