ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY

CONCERT NEXT TUESDAY. With selections by Beethoven, Verdi, Percy Grainger, Max Bruch, Lortzing, Chas. B. Hampson and Rimsky-Kor-sakov, the programme selected for the second Orchestral Society’s concert next Tuesday at the Opera House, is particularly appealing. Annotations concerning every item appear in the printed programme, adding considerably to the layman’s appreciation of the various numbers. The soloist for the occasion is Miss Edith Ralph who will sing numbers by Debussy, Mozart and Elgar with the orchestra in specially arranged accompaniments. The Society wishes to draw subscribers’ attention to the fact that subscriptions are now due and should be paid at once at the Arts and Crafts studio.
