NEW CZECH CABINET

FORMED WITH AGREEMENT OF ALL PARTIES Several Former Ministers Included GENERAL SIROVY A NATIONAL HERO By Telegraph.—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) PRAGUE, September 22. President Benes announced that the new Government had been formed with the agreement of all political groups and parties and declared that the solidarity of the entire nation was behind it. It is now announced that Dr Hodza and MM. Bechinyo and Necas, Dr Franke and Dr Sramek, all former members of the Cabinet, will remain in the new Cabinet. General Sirovy, the new Premier, commanded the Czechs in their march across Siberia and is regarded as a national hero. Reuter’s Prague correspondent says political affairs remain in the hands of Dr Hodza, Dr Czeriny, M. Bechinyo and Dr Sramek. who constituted the previous Inner Cabinet. The Cabinet does not include* Communists. Reuter’s Prague correspondent says the Political Affairs Committee including Dr Hodza, mentioned in an earlier message, is now purely an advisory body under the Government. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Prague correspondent states that the gendarmerie and police in a number of frontier towns were induced to withdraw and surrender their functions without a struggle by Henleinist storm troopers, who took over’ the buildings. The places thus affected lie along the frontier beyond the Czech first line of defence and include such towns as Eger, Asch, Graslitz, Bodenbach and Warnsdorf. Even towns further inland, including Marienbad, Carlsbad and Felp are partly in the hands of the .Henleinists, but immediately Cabinet resigned permanent officials took over control and began to restore authority, which by evening had generally been completed.
