BILLIARDS & SNOOKER
THE Y.M.C.A. TOURNAMENT. Playing in the Y.M.C.A. billiards and snooker competition last night Pioneers defeated Post Office by six games to four. Following are the details, Pioneers players being given first in every case: —Billiards: T. Rimene beat L. Astridge, R. House lost to J. Dunbar, J. Rimene lost to H. Marsh, J. Wilson beat H. Worthington, T. Potangaroa beat B. Thompson. Snooker: T. Rimene beat L. Astridge, R. House lost to J. Dunbar, J. Rimene beat H. Marsh, J. Wilson beat H. Worthington, T. Potangaroa lost to B. Thompson. On Tuesday next Y.M.C.A. A will play Y.M.C.A. B. This will be the last game of the tournament, but cannot affect the lead in aggregate points, held at present by Pioneers and Catholic Club with equal scores. These clubs will play off for the championship on Thursday next, when a very keen contest is expected. In the following week the individual billiards championship will be played.
