Although undoubtedly that should be the case, the Law requires that the Licensing Referendum must be conducted this year in conjunction with the Parliamentary * Elections. There is the possibility that electors may feel that it is not necessary to record their votes on the issue. Neglect to do so might make the impossible become possible, allowing prohibition to be imposed upon New Zealand by a small minority. Consequently it cannot be made too clear how necessary it is for every elector to cast his or her vote for Continuance.
