DRAMA FESTIVAL

It is evident from the entries received for the coming festival that interest in amateur drama is by no means waning. ' Newcomers to the competition are the Kahutara Women’s Institute, which is presenting two plays, and St. Andrew’s Society whose play naturally has a Scottish flavour. Other entries are from the Catholic Club, Wairarapa College, St. Matthew’s Old Girls, Phoenix and the Peter Pan Players. Junior plays are promised from Central School and the Play Box Players. There should be no lack of entertainment and variety for followers of the drama at this festival. Miss Elizabeth Lowe, tutor for the New Zealand Drama League, is to act as judge.
