AERO CLUB

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club Committee vzas held last night at the clubhouse. Hood Aerodrome, Mr. A. McDonald presiding. Five new members were elected. Advice was received from the Air’ Department that Messrs W. R. Jaspers and H. C. George have been enrolled in the Civil Reserve of Pilots. The flying report for the month or August showed a total flying time, including 11 cross country flights, of 5? hours 15 minutes, which is a slight increase over the corresponding month of the previous year. Mr R. H. Madden completed his first solo flight on August 4. The training of Civil Reservists is now proceeding at the aerodrome.
