WEDDING

WEBSTER—GODINAt IH St Aidan’s Church, Alfredton, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Saturday last when Reenee Cresswell, daughter of Mr M. Godinagh and the late Mrs Godinagh, was married to David Robert, third son of Mr and the late Mrs Webster of Dannevirke. The ceremony was performed by Rev L. Ives and Mrs Hull played the wedding music. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of white lace over white satin with a tulle veil which fell from a bandeau of orange blossom to a short train. She carried a bouquet of freesias and maidenhair fern. Attending the bride were Miss P. Holdaway as chief maid and Miss _M. Smith, who were frocked alike in pink lace over pink satin. The two little flower girls, Marion and Dorothy Godinagh, wore green net over green satin and all carried bouquets of freesias, apple blossom and maidenhair fern. • Messrs Jim Webster and Gilbert Godinagh carried out the duties of best man and groomsman, respectively. At the reception in the Alfredton Hall the guests were received by Mrs Godinagh, the bride’s step-mother, and Mrs Sturrock, sister of the bridegroom. Later Mr and Mrs Webster left by car for the north, the bride travelling in a fawn frock with brown tailored coat and fawn toque. Their future home will be at Dannevirke.
