LABOUR “CZAR” SHOT DEAD BY MASKED MEN ASSASSINS MAKE THEIR ESCAPE SEQUEL TO SIMILAR CRIME IN 1922 By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) ST LOUIS, September 20. Two masked men assassinated Arthur Schading, “Czar" of the St Louis trade unions and principal figure in union disputes. The men fired 12 bullets into the body and head, and fled. Schading’s second business agent was killed undei’ similar circumstances. The previous assassination, which was never solver, occurred in 1922.
