ALLEGED BY CZECH CIRCLES IN LONDON

Hitler’s Contempt for Democracies Justified JUDGMENT SUSPENDED IN ENGLAND AND FRANCE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. K (Recd This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, September 19. The Associated Press says Czech circles in London declare that they did not believe England and France capable of such a gross betrayal, thus justifying Hitler’s contempt for democracies. It is undoubted that the public in England and France, with the imminence of war apparently removed, is disposed to withhold judgment until the Anglo-French proposals are fully known. ATTITUDE OF CZECH CABINET. PLAN ONLY TO BE ACCEPTED AS BASIS FOR NEGOTIATION. (Recd This Day, 12.15 p.m.) PRAGUE, September 19. At eleven p.m., members of Cabinet and Coalition leaders were still conferring. The British United Press correspondent says it is reliably stated that it is not intended to accept the plan except as a basis for further negotiations with France and Britain. THE FRENCH PRESS. GENERAL ACCEPTANCE OF PLAN. ONE PAPER ATTACKS AGREEMENT. (Recd This Day, 12.20 p.m.) PARIS, September 19. The Press, with one exception, supports the Anglo-French plan and urges the Czechs to acquiesce. “Le Soir” attacks the agreement and says that if the reports from London are true, France will, for the first tim'e, have denounced her contractual obligations and will, for the first time, have consented to resign from a French position. CZECHS GIVE WAV. REPORTED ACCEPTANCE OF PLAN. MORE CONCRETE EXPLANATION SOUGHT. (Recd This Day, 1.25 p.m.) LONDON, September 20. Reuter’s Prague correspondent says it is authoritatively stated that the Government is accepting the British-French plan, but is asking for a more concrete explanation to enable the framing of a reply.

MILITARY PLANS i GERMANY MOVING TROOPS TO BORDER ROADS TO BRESLAU JAMMED (Recd This Day, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, September 19. The British United Press Berlin correspondent says warlike preparations towards the Czech border have continued. The reads to Breslau are jammed by military transport. Train-loads of guns and bodies of troops are reported to be moving towards the border.
