Fredericton, Canada. —Nearly five million parasitic insects were liberated * in Eastern Canada by means of an aeroplane recently to prey on the spruce sawfly which has been menacing the standing spruce timber in New Brunswick. Incidentally, the parasitic insects were liberated from the private aeroplane of the provincial premier, who is himself an ardent flyer. Ordinarily the trip would have taken three days. By aeroplane the district affected was covered in 45 minutes.
