Vancouver, Canada—The popularity of the steamer trips from this port to Alaska, via historic Sitka and the great west coast fjords, the Gardiner. Canal and the Douglas Canal, have never been as popular as this summer season. Seventeen sailings were scheduled to Alaska this summer, and many of them were heavily booked before the season commenced.
