ANOTHER MEETING SHORTLY. PLACE NOT DETERMINED. (Recd This Day, 12.45 p.m.) BERLIN, September 15. Mr Chamberlain’s conference with Herr Hitler ended at 8.15 p.m. The text of an official announcement from Berchtesgaden reads: —“The Fuehrer conferred with Mr Chamberlain at Obersalzburg. An extensive and open exchange of opinion on the present situation took place. Mr Chamberlain will return to England on Friday in order to confer with the British Cabinet and a new conference will be held in a few days.” . Mr Chamberlain told journalists: “I had a very friendly talk with Herr Hitler. We are meeting again some time later.” Sir Nevile Henderson added that the next conference will probably not be held at Berchtesgaden. FEARS OF WAR MANY REFUGEES POURING INTO PRAGUE. HENLEIN PARTY PREDICTION. (Recd This Day, 12.45 p.m.) PRAGUE, September 15. Henlein headquarters have telephoned the German medical clinic at Prague that all German doctors should clear out as soon as possible, as war is coming. It is officially announced that the Czechs are taking action against the Henlein proclamation. The form of action is not announced, but it has been “placed in the hands of competent State authorities.” An increasing stream of refugees is pouring in from the Sudeten areas. They are mostly German Social Democrats, women, children, aged and sick. It is estimated that 3000 refugees are under the care of the Red Cross and charity organisations.
